![]() ![]() A couple of times that meant it felt like we were skipping a beat or two, as when Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) very quickly went from prisoner to full fledged Reaper, when it felt like maybe we could have used one extra episode or so to let that change take hold – yet it was still a harrowing storyline to see him go through and battle against. The 100 moved at lightning pace this season. The fact that he simply saw the Grounders as “savages” and those from the Ark as people he could relate to made him a fascinating character, as you couldn’t really root for him, yet as the season progressed, he was the voice of reason inside Mount Weather – especially compared to his even more brutal, single-minded “us over anyone” son, Cage (Johnny Whitworth). ![]() Yet he was also someone who was unapologetically doing horrible things to the Grounders, using their blood to help his people, while transforming many of them into the cannibalistic reapers. Barry), presumably the season’s big villain initially, turned out to be pretty truthful when it came to his wish to work with and unite with those from the Ark – and to have great respect for and even a sense of kinship with Clarke. ![]() There were some excellent nuances at work here. But Season 2 elevated the series into the upper echelon, as the show become one of the coolest and most daring series on TV these days. Overcoming most of its early growing pains pretty quickly, The 100 was a very strong show by the end of its first season. ![]() Season 3 opens with Clarke gone, the 100 crew have established a new colony called Arkadia complete with livestock, trucks, Wells has found the so-called City of Lights from Allie but apparently no one else can see her, we finally get to see the one responsible for nuking Earth in the first place by relying on an A.I.Note: Full spoilers for The 100: Season 2 follow. On top of that, Wells followed some drones into a giant mansion founded by a woman in the form of a hologram named Allie who's been waiting for him for a long time.a plan involving a nuclear warhead for some reason Season 2 got a lot better in terms of pacing, more complex storytelling, dozens of fresh faces, and the amount of violence and surprises for humans fighting to continue livingĪt the end of the season Clarke and the rest of the 100 crew saved the rest of them from Mount Weather's clutches to drain their bodies healing their own people, Wells survived crash landing on Earth but left to find a new haven called the City of Lights, the Grounders and the 100 crew seemed to form an alliance to strike out the same enemy that made Reapers go all savage but their Commander backed out only to save their own skins, Octavia became a true Grounder fighter evolving herself, Lincoln survived being captured from Mount Weather, and Clarke decided to leave the 100 crew not wanting to face everyone after the genocide she committed in order to save everybody else ![]()
